Noteworthy: Library district elects new officers

The Santa Clara County Library District Joint Powers Authority Governing Board recently elected Los Altos Hills City Councilwoman Courtenay C. Corrigan its vice chairwoman.

The board provides policy direction, governance and oversight for the budget for the library district, which includes the Los Altos main and Woodland Branch libraries.

Mike Wasserman of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors will serve as the library district’s chairman.

The district board comprises 11 members, with one member from each of the nine-member city councils – Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill and Saratoga – and two members from the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. Los Altos City Councilman Jean Mordo represents Los Altos on the board.
