Bajuk assumes new role at PA History Museum

Former Los Altos History Museum Executive Director Laura Bajuk has been named interim director of the soon-to-open Palo Alto History Museum.

Bajuk left Los Altos last year for the Palo Alto museum’s development director position. She succeeds former Director Myron Freedman, who is leaving for another position.

Noteworthy: National Charity League honors seniors


 

The Stanford Hills’ Chapter of National Charity League recognized its high school seniors at a black-tie dinner held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Palo Alto March 11.

The 20 young women, dubbed “Ticktockers,” have spent the past six years alongside their mothers volunteering in the community. Together they have performed more than 9,370 volunteer hours with nonprofit organizations such as the Ecumenical Hunger Program, Animal Assisted Happiness and the Palo Alto Art Center.

Scouting News: Local Scouts earn Eagle rank

Boy Scout Troop 75 in Los Altos recently honored two members for earning their Eagle Scout ranks.

• Hunter Borlik, 18, is a senior at Everest Public High School in Redwood City.

Conceicao

Child Advocates appoints LA resident to board

The Board of Directors of Child Advocates of Silicon Valley recently appointed Cassio Conceicao of Los Altos to the board.

The appointment comes as Child Advocates’ enters its 31st year of serving foster children by providing a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), who represents the best interests of the child in dependency hearings.
