• Ted Laliotis (Oct. 24), former Los Altos City Council member; mayor of Los Altos in 1991

• Lydia Young (Oct. 18), makeup artist and hair stylist for Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell; founder of Men’s Health Club and women’s-only spa Lydia’s in Los Altos

• Mary Jane Beck (Oct. 14), poet, musician, animal lover and “self-proclaimed women’s libber before there was such a thing,” according to friends

• Bob Stutz (Oct. 12), long active in Los Altos Hills government, primarily on the Planning Commission and Pathways Committee; member of the Los Altos Hills Horsemen’s Association

• Lois Noel (Sept. 27) and Clyde Noel (June 21), residents of Los Altos Hills; Clyde was a longtime Town Crier writer and active community volunteer

• Jean Newton (Sept. 5), local public relations entrepreneur; longtime member of the Rotary Club of Los Altos.

• Miriam Wolff (Aug. 27), longtime Los Altos Hills resident; trailblazer who broke the glass ceiling for women in the legal profession

• Wendell Waldo Roscoe (Aug. 5), local developer who created the Pink Horse Ranch subdivision in Los Altos Hills.

• Robert Emanuel Berry Sr. (July 23), pioneer in the aerospace industry

• James Thurber (June 16), diplomat and community volunteer; former Los Altos mayor

• Earl “Buzz” Ellison (May 30), owner of Ellison’s Body Shop

• Ralph Kuiper (May 27), satellite engineer; active in World Affairs Council

• Janet Kolstad (May 11), past president of Music for Minors

• Marron Spencer Honigman (April 23), instructor who taught at Blach Intermediate School for 22 years

• Steve Anderson (March 8), past president of the Rotary Club of Los Altos; avid volunteer; recipient of the Walter Singer Award

• Florence Adele (Bloom) Pallakoff (Feb. 28), journalist who covered Los Altos and Los Altos Hills council meetings for the Town Crier

• Ruth Powell (Feb. 22), avid volunteer in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills

• Peter Taber (Jan. 30), co-owner of Hobee’s California restaurants
